For me inspiration comes when I am able to just concentrate to some (interesting) creative work. If anything or anybody doesn't disturb me, it is usually quite easy to get in to 'FLOW' state (ref. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flow_(psychology)).
My inspiration is still on a very subconscious level when it comes to my photography, because I'm just starting out with it and am just experimenting with what I can do with my camera.
However, just as with my painting, my fascination lies with colours & the interaction of these with each other, shapes and patterns.

Like Annhim, I'm also inspired by nature a lot, although I think this is less apparent in my artwork than I would like, as most of my work comprises of less natural colours - mostly primary & secondary.

I have moments of 'restlessness', where I feel the need to do something creative (painting or photography). These usually occur on weekends, as the light in my appartment's at it's best and as I'm significantly more relaxed and have time. It can take me a bit of time to convert my creative mood into action (haven't yet worked out why this is), so generally I'll start way too late in the day, leaving me only a couple of hours before dinner/dark.

Cheers, Dieuwke (Dukes).
